Het verhaal van Domaine de Joy is minstens zo idyllisch als de wijnen van het wijnhuis. Het begint simpelweg met een man, Paul Gessner, die verliefd raakt op de regio: de Armagnac. Tijdens een bezoek was hij verkocht aan het prachtige glooiende landschap in combinatie met het vakmanschap wat nodig is om Armagnac te creëren. Hij verhuisde van Zwitserland naar Frankrijk en besloot hier de dynastie Gessner voort te zetten. Met veel succes want inmiddels is het de vierde generatie die het wijnhuis leidt. Ooit begonnen met Armagnac, maar Vanessa en Kevin Gessner, de huidige eigenaren, richten nu vooral hun pijlen op wijn. Desondanks houden zij van de familie-geschiedenis en is nog steeds een klein gedeelte van de wijngaarden gereserveerd voor de Armagnac productie.Indrukken van Famille Gessler La Vie en Joy Wit
Voor deze witte wijn zijn twee druivenrassen gebruikt, die uitersten zijn op het spectrum van druivenrassen. De Gros Manseng is vol, fruitig en haast zoetig, terwijl de Sauvignon Blanc fris en verkwikkend is. Toch weet de wijnmaker hier een schitterend glas wijn te maken. Met 80% Sauvignon Blanc in Famille Gessler La Vie en Joy Wit is de geaardheid vooral fris en dorstlessend. Echter zorgt de aanvulling van Gros Manseng voor een aangename verrassing: ananas, abrikozen en perzik vechten met elkaar om de overhand te krijgen in de wijn. Wonderful books

Highly recommend!

It’s almost November and I told my husband that I don’t want to get to the end of this devotional book. I may repeat it in 2026. It’s the best I’ve ever had and the only one I have ever continued through this whole year. I have texted screen shots a few times to share her words and scripture to someone in my family. (Hope that”s legal.) I always get a positive response thanking me. My granddaughter now has this book also.

Best thing I purchased on Amazon thus far!

Going into my second year with this devotional and it is my absolute favorite! I’ve bought plenty devotionals over the years. I love how this one is not marked by the year so all I have to do is look at what day it is and read! Each page is filled with such a thoughtful word and scripture to back up her amazing wisdom! I’ve sent pages to my mom & sister to read. I read them to my kids and husband sometimes. They love it!! I had to come back and give my review bc I need everyone to know just how much I love this devotional. My only wish is that I could be more consistent with each day. But I do love that EVERYTIME I need it, it’s there ready for me to pick up. It’s perfect!! I’ve been struggling for years to figure out how to connect more with God on a regular basis. I am truly grateful for Joyce! My father raised me on her sermons & teachings and I will forever be thankful! This book is a GEM! God bless ❤️
